ENGELWURTZ or ENGELWURZ (German) = Angelica (Spices).

ERINGOES = ERYNGO.
ERVE DOCE (Portuguese, literally "sweet grass") = a herb much used in the south of Portugal. Generally used dried, it tastes like a mild, sweet marjoram.
Eryngium maritimum = ERYNGO.
ERYNGO = Eryngium maritimum, otherwise known as sea-holly. The root, candied, was believed in Shakespeare's time to be an aphrodisiac. [we do not at present carry this].
ESPECIE (Spanish) = spices.
ESTRAGON (French, Danish, German, Spanish, Swedish, Norwegian, Polish) = TARRAGON.
Eugenia caryophylatta = Cloves (Spices).
