1000 grams (g) makes 1 kilogram (kg)
25 grams is a little less than an ounce (=28 g)
500 grams is a little more than a pound (=454 g)

There! That wasn't so bad, was it? (Just imagine if we had decided to be completely authentic, and sold in medieval Venetian weight -- pesso grosso and pesso sotile.)
