Local FishermenSpring - nature awakens... and the bears as well. The snowmelt runs off the mountain ranges and the valley begins to green. The birds (like geese and colibries) return from Mexico and California. The temperatures will rise to more than 20 deg. C (68 F).

Okanagan LakeSummer - High-Season! Also for tourists from Europe, USA, and Asia. Time has come for watersports in the Okanagan Valley. You can count on sunny, very hot, dry, and long days. 10 weeks without rain is no surprise. In July, the apricots, cherries, and peaches ripen. Those summer days are often 30-35 deg. C (86-95 F). However, since the air is dry and therefore the heat is pleasant.

Watch the Salmon RunsFall - Now it is really harvest time for all Okanagan Valley fruits: peach, apple, grapes... The salmon runs pick up in all Okanagan tributaries. The fall is hunting hunting season for a variety of individuals including bears...and humans. If you would like to go hunting please contact us before-hand. Otherwise, the weather is still awesome holiday weather (20-23 deg. C or 68-73 F). The nights, however, will become cooler. Starting, November the temperatures will average around 15 deg. C (59 F). You might even see the first snow.

"Snow Goasts"Winter - It's time for wintersports (Down-hill, X-country, skidooing,...) Often Swiss and Austrian skiers come to the Okanagan slopes to enjoy the unique structure of the snow. The snow here is said to be very powdery and light. The sun shines almost everyday up on the slopes. There are four skiing areas (resorts) within 1.5 hours. The closest is only 25 min. away. Snow cover in these areas can reach up to 4 meters.
