Vine and Branches

“I am the vine, you are the branches.”
Lord, You alone, the Christ, is life itself.

When we connect to You in remembering the very moment of Your death on the Cross, we live with You as Risen Lord.

It is in the dying and rising, You give life.

It is in the dying to self; we give life to each other – Your living love that flowing in, through, with us.

When we bear our cross by carrying it with You, we are no longer

nothing and incapable of giving life. We are living attached to life itself at the point where the branch meets the vine of Divine Love.

In dying to our pride and receiving Your love, we rise with You to freely give of ourselves:

To be a connection to the children we teach.

To be fully present to each person.

To be gift to all we meet, especially those who live in pain and confusion.

To be Your Mystical Body in our schools and communities.

To be truly present and intimate with those that we love.

You are the Vine; we are the Branches.

We will be forever connected in Your Passion and Your Rising, through Your Spirit, with God in Friendship.
